This pistol's rugged full metal frame and slide make it well balanced and provide it with a realistic weight and feel. The improved recoil spring gives this pistol a little more kick than similar compact gas blowbacks, and provides smooth cycling and crisp trigger response.

This modernized version of the M1911 3.8 Compact includes ergonomic improvements such as an elongated beaver tail grip, front and rear slide serrations, and a skeleton trigger. These combined improvements make the M1911 3.8 Compact easier to manipulate and get on target than standard M1911A1 configurations. Another added improvement are the adjustable target sights, which make it easier to quickly acquire targets in high stress situations.
