The Derringer was originally designed by the famous pocket pistol inventor Henry Deringer. Designed to be very concealable and for use in very close quarters. The pistols lack of a repeating mechanism as seen in more modern semi-automatic pistols cuts the size and overall weight down drastically. The ASG Marushin 6mm Derringer Gas Powered Airsoft NBB Pistol is an awesome airsoft replication of this western pistol. It is made from aircraft grade aluminum which makes it durable and able to withstand damage. It uses green gas to propel the BBs from each barrel, (one barrel at a time) at 250 FPS (w/ .2g BBs). The functioning cocking mechanism alternates the firing mechanism between each barrel, which fires the top barrel on the first shot and then the second barrel. While this weapon doesn't have a magazine it does chamber two rounds simultaneously and is quickly reloaded by "breaking the barrel" and inserting two more rounds, much like a double barrel shotgun.
