As the coils continuously expand and contract they loose elasticity, wear down relatively quickly, and negatively impact you muzzle velocity and overall performance. The Lonex M120 Enhanced AEG Gearbox Spring uses non-linear steel to generate a muzzle velocity from 380-410 FPS (w/ 0.20g BBs), and also resists operational wear and retains elasticity for a much longer period of time. The design of this gearbox spring also helps to minimize unnecessary stress on the battery and stabilize the muzzle velocity generated by your AEG.
